Automobile safety equipment such as seat belts and air bags are intended to prevent accidents and protect their passengers in the event of an accident, however there are instances where these products may be flawed or otherwise defective. A driver and/or passenger can suffer serious injury in the event of a vehicle wreck if the safety equipment does not properly function and protect them from harm.
